Gangtok is the capital of Sikkim state. It is the most popular hill station in India. It is also called the Switzerland of east end and it is one of the most cleanest, beautifully organised and highly organize city you ever see. The city is quite good to spend time here from typical city lives.

By Plane : The most nearest Airport is Siliguri, from Siliguri you can hire taxi and go to Gangtok. Between the trip you can see beautiful Mountains, Waterfalls, Twits and Turns. There are many direct flights to Siliguri.
By Train : Train is the another medium to get in Gangtok. The nearest Railway Station is New Jalpaiguri which has direct connections to Kolkata, Delhi and with other major cities in India.
After arrival to New Jalpaiguri, you have option to hire taxi or auto-rickshaw to the Siliguri Bus Stand from here you can take a taxi to Gangtok. It is about 5-6 hour journey.
Get Around : Taxi is the best option to see the beautiful Gangtok. Taxi can only be hire from designated taxi stand.

The scenery : There are very beautiful views of the hills, the best view is Kanchanjunga, it is the world third highest peak.
Enchay Monastery : It is about two hundread years old monasteries, located above the town.
Dodrupchen Monastery : Dodrupchen Monastery is the very large monastery in the Nyingma tradition and it is well famous for its large chorten.
Flower Show : There is the flower show in The Ridge Park from 10am to 5pm near the White Hall. The best season to watch the flower show is mid March to May and also from October to December. It is one of the best and the finest flower show in the South Asian region.
Do-Drul Chorten : It is a very large Stupa Complex constructed in 1945.
Banjhakri Falls : Banjhakri falls is very beautiful waterfall surrounded by the gardens and hills and one of the most popular picnic spot. Must watch.
