The crown of India, this state is bounded on the north by Afghanistan and china, on the east by Tibet, on the west by Pakistan and on the south by Himachal Pradesh and Punjab. Jammu and Kashmir is tourist paradise. The state is studded with number of hill stations offering the tourist a leisurely or adventurous holiday amidst breath-taking scenery. The state has a very rich history and distinct culture. It has some of the most sacred Temples, Mosques, and Lanes. Agriculture is the mainstay of the state economy.
Second important occupation is the tradition of crafting paper mache, wood carving, carpet and shawl making. Kashmiri handicrafts are exported world over. The state is often referred to as the " Paradise on Earth ".

5) Sonamarg : Sonamarg is also known as "Meadow of Gold". It also a very beautiful destination located at an altitude of 2730 meters above the sea level. It is famous for its Lakes, camping sites, Flowers, Snow Mountains. The best way to reach the sonamarg is from Sindh Valley.
6) Leh : Leh have the highest Airport and Golf Course in the world and known for Palaces, Mosque, Handicrafts, Cuisines, Trekking, Buddhist Monasteries.
7) Vaishno Devi : Vaishno Devi is the major Hindu pilgrim center.
8) Raghunath Temple : Raghunath Temple is located at the center of Jammu or you can say that in the heart of Jammu. It is dedicated to the Shri Rama. All the inner Walls of this temple is covered with gold, it looks awesome.
Transport Facilities : There are various transport facilities are available to reach Jammu and Kashmir :
1) By Plane : Flights are available to Srinagar and Leh.
2) By Train : Train is also another transport facility available. The last stop is Udampur on the north Railway Line, from Udampur you can catch tourist buses or hire taxi. However, it is better to go Jammu and catch a taxi from there because taxi are more easily available at Jammu Station.
3) By Bus : The two ways are available i.e via Jammu and upto Srinagar or Via Manali in Himachal Pradesh and up to Leh.
